I found Ingrid Schweiger’s book, “Self Esteem for a Lifetime”, to be a wonderful resource as both a mother of three teenaged daughters, and an artist. Her insights on the happiness of the marriage affecting children’s self esteem are profound, as well as her research into the Arts affecting self esteem. Dr. Schweiger writes with the wisdom and experience of being a mother, simply and profoundly, and the education and background of a seasoned profesional. I was never tripped up by psycho babble. Her book sits on my nightstand, as I often refer to it at the end of a long day to cope with the challenges of raising children.
