This video was disturbing on so many different levels. I got chills when I saw the shoulders altered, the eyes lifted and the neck changed. My 15 year old daughter and I watched it several times. It was a real eye opener! The models I’ve seen on the cover of magazines have always been fictitious characters, I had no idea to this level.
That was profound! I cannot express how important it is that young women know that representations of physical beauty are grossly and artificially distorted to the point where the distortion should make the product the definition of ugliness.

i kind of think models are supposed to be as pumped up as possible.. they wana make the clothes/soap/watever youre selling look good! people need to have the self esteem to seperate themselves from that and be themself.. its not the model companies fault you wana be like them =)
Some of the comments talk about people who are over weight, but this add isn’t directed to them. It’s for all those women (and men) who spend all their time, money, and even their health to trying to look like the pictures in magazines while not knowing that that’s an impossible goal and that they are already beautiful to the people who care about them. There are so many more important things than physical beauty.
i know, the point is not how pretty they were before, they’re trying to tell people that thats what they do to get the people who look so perfect in magazines, to look so perfect, PHOTO-SHOPPING!!
